FAQ:

Why do I have to pay to utilize these trails? Under Texas law, private property owners, including homeowners associations (HOAs), have the right to charge a fee for access to private trail systems on their property. This fee is established to cover the costs associated with maintaining and operating the trail system, including trail upkeep, signage, security, insurance, and any necessary repairs or improvements. Additionally, charging a fee helps ensure that the trail system remains exclusive to residents or members preserving its integrity and limiting overcrowding or misuse.

Are these trails dog-friendly: Yes.  While on trails, dog owners are responsible for ensuring that their pets are always kept under control, leashed where required, and properly cleaned up after. Additionally, dog owners must adhere to all local regulations regarding pet behavior and safety on trails. Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in penalties or expulsion from the trail area.

Hippo Social Club hopes you enjoy the trail. We appreciate you observing the following rules while on the trail:

1. Remain on the trail at all times

2. Do not leave any trash, if you don’t see an orange bucket

3. Dogs must remain leashed

4. Remove all dog waste from the trail

   
   Please also note:

• This trail is a looped trail.  It is  approximately 3 miles from beginning to end both ways.

• There is no water provided on the trail, please ensure you have water before you begin your hike.

• Hike at your own risk. Beware of fallen trees and slick paths
